Steinbach Credit Union has partnered with Equifax, Canada’s leading Credit Information Company, to give our members the ability to access their credit file and credit score through an online environment.

What information is available to you, our member?

• a copy of your personalized credit history report, enabling you to understand and manage the content of your credit file at Equifax
• a credit score, along with a full explanation and how lenders view your credit risk
• tips on how you can improve your credit score over time
• factors that most heavily affect your credit score
• online dispute resolution, should you wish to question anything about your credit file
• access to your credit file anytime online for 30 consecutive days, at no additional cost

• know what information is being used by lenders, to assess your credit request
• find out what specific actions you can take to improve your credit file, helping you plan your next major purchase and increase your chances of getting a loan

What will it cost?

To obtain a FREE copy of your credit report by mail, click on the link below and go to Your Credit Report, download the credit report request form and mail it in. You will receive your information via return mail in a few weeks.

If you would like to obtain a copy of your credit report immediately, for a fee, you can receive real-time on-line access to your personal credit report, credit score and a full explanation of your score and how lenders view your credit history. Simply log on to Equifax Consumer Services Canada via the link below.

Payment can be made with a major credit card. There are two different report services available:

1. For $15.50 you can get an easy to read personalized credit history report. This report will include details on your credit card and loan payments.

2. For $23.95, in addition to your personalized credit history report, you will also receive your FICO credit score and analysis. This report will include the full analysis of your credit score along with a full explanation of how lenders view the report and how you rank nationally with other consumers.
