In March, 2012 elections will be held for three Board of Director positions. Like all credit unions, SCU has a board of directors nominated and elected from its membership. It’s an important job as board members help to determine the direction taken by their credit union.
Being an SCU board member is a rewarding job that requires dedication, time and a strong interest in how your credit union is run. SCU is the largest credit union in Manitoba and one of the largest in Canada and we’re looking for people who want to help lead us into the future.
Typically, SCU looks for people who have demonstrated leadership skills in the community at large. Directors need to be willing to work with others and possess excellent communication and people skills.
If you’re interested in becoming a director, or know someone who would be, contact the nomination committee by November 4, 2011.
