Canada’s investment industry has been working to implement new regulations that better address investor needs and help Canadians understand both the cost and performance of their investments. Set to roll out in January 2017, these new rules, termed Client Relationship Model – Phase 2 (CRM2) are intended to provide investors with more clarity about investment performance and costs.
New Reporting Means Greater Clarity
- Clarity in Investment Performance: Easily track your investment progress toward financial goals with annual Performance Reports. Look for updates in your enhanced account statements providing more comprehensive overviews of your investment portfolio.
- Clarity in Cost: At account opening and at the time of purchase, you will be provided with a clear explanation of costs and related charges, as well as the compensation to Credential for the financial advice and services you receive from us. Annually (beginning January 2017), you will receive a Charges and Compensation Report that provides transparency about the costs and fees you’ve paid for your investments.
