CRA Tax Payments - Are Changing

Tax Payment Options

The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) prefers to receive electronic payments. Below are some options on how to make your personal income tax payments. These payment options also apply to payment of Business Taxes.

Pay Online anytime, from anywhere with:

SCU Direct® or SCU MemberDirect® Business Services

To sign up for online banking, contact our Member Contact Centre at 1 800.728.6440 or see a Member Service Representative at any branch to obtain your personal access code. Don’t have access to a computer, SCU branches offer kiosks for your convenience. See a Member Services Representative and we will happy to lead you through the steps to online banking at our in-branch kiosk.

To ensure your payments are received by the due date we recommend you process your payment at least 3 days prior to the due date.

Canada Revenue Agency Pre-Authorized Debit:

My Account for Individuals allows you to track your refund, view or change your return, check benefits and credit payments, view your RRSP limit, set up direct deposit, receive online mail and more.

My Business Account allows business owners to access and pay their GST/HST, business taxes, and more.

Canada Post Mail:

Please allow for adequate delivery time.

Avoid late fees! Even if you pay today, CRA may not receive your payment today. CRA receives your payment on the date the service provider sends the funds to them—not the date you make your payment. The CRA may charge you penalties or interest or both if your payment is late. You are responsible for making sure the CRA receives your payment by the payment due date.
