Interac e-Transfer† Security Question Update
Interac has released an update to their Interac e-Transfer feature that may require you to update responses to security questions for your recipients.
If you have not updated or created a recipient’s security question since September 20, 2018, you will receive a notification when sending an Interac e-Transfer. When you receive this notification, follow the online prompts, which are also outlined below:
You will be provided with a link that will direct you to the Edit Recipient page
Update the response to the question, or consider creating a new security question and response
Save your changes by clicking Continue
At this point, you will not have sent the Interac e-Transfer, so you will need to return to the Send Interac e-Transfer page to initiate your e-Transfer.
Important note: Security answers not updated by September 1, 2019 will be deleted by Interac, and will require you to create a new question and response.
