General Terms

1. Steinbach Credit Union Limited (“SCU”) is offering a 4% interest rate offer (the “Offer”), which is available to new and existing SCU business members, including Business, Agriculture, Charity, and Community members (each a “Business Member”) who:
2. became or continues to be, an active Business Member by December 30, 2026 at 8:00 P.M. CDT;
3. are businesses incorporated in or registered (extra-jurisdictionally or otherwise) to do business in Manitoba, and where the individual(s) opening the Account on behalf of the business are Canadian residents and are of the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of Account opening;
4. open a Business Promotional Plan 24 Account (the “Account”) between October 6, 2026 at 12:01 A.M CDT and December 30, 2026, at 8:00 P.M. CDT (the “Opening Eligibility Period”);
5. make new deposits into the Account during a four (4) month period after the date of Account opening (the “Offer Period”) up to five million dollars ($5,000,000.00 CAD). For clarity: the Opening Eligibility Period governs when an Account must be opened to qualify for this Offer, and the Offer Period governs the time during which eligible deposits in a qualifying Account earn the Promotional Rate.

For further clarity a Business Member may make new deposits in the Account more than five million dollars ($5,000,000.00 CAD), however, the Offer will only apply to the first five million dollars ($5,000,000.00 CAD) deposited (as outlined in Section 6 below).

2. All other terms and conditions of the Account (as outlined in the applicable SCU Account agreement) continue to apply.

Offer Conditions

3. SCU may, in its sole discretion, end the Opening Eligibility Period prior to its scheduled end date. SCU will provide at least seventy-two (72) hours' advance notice of any such change.
4. If SCU decides, in its sole discretion, to distribute a patronage to Business Members, any Promotional Rate (as that term is defined below) interest received in the Account shall not be eligible for the patronage.
5. After the Offer Period applicable to an Account ends, all balances in the Account will continue to earn interest at SCU’s current posted rate, which is subject to change without notice (the “Posted Rate Interest”), payable on the Account.
6. During the Offer Period, the Promotional Rate applies only to the first five million dollars ($5,000,000.00 CAD) of the Account balance (including accrued and paid interest). 7. Offer limit: one (1) Offer per Business Member in total, regardless of the number of Accounts a Business Member opens or holds.

First eligible Account only: A Business Member may receive the Offer only once, and only on the first eligible Account that such Business Member opens during the Opening Eligibility Period. Separate legal entities are assessed independently for eligibility; accordingly, if an individual owns or controls multiple businesses that are each separate legal entities, each such business that becomes a Business Member and otherwise meets the eligibility criteria in Section 1 may be eligible for the Offer on its own first eligible Account opened during the Opening Eligibility Period.

Sole proprietorships: For the purposes of this Offer, a sole proprietorship that is registered to do business in Manitoba and that holds a separate business membership with SCU is treated as a separate Business Member, notwithstanding that a sole proprietorship is not a separate legal entity from the individual who operates it.

8. All non-Member businesses wishing to participate in the Offer must purchase a five-dollar ($5.00) Business Member share at the time of Account opening.
9. The 4% promotional interest rate (the “Promotional Rate”) is an annualized rate and will apply to eligible deposits as outlined in Section 1(d). Subject to the limits and qualifications outlined in these Offer Terms and Conditions, interest on eligible deposits made during the four (4) month period after the date of Account opening will be calculated daily at the Promotional Rate (the “Promotional Interest”) and paid monthly to the Account.
10. Any Account closed prior to the payment of the Promotional Interest will only earn interest on the days of the month during which the Account was open (at the Promotional Rate or Posted Rate Interest, as the case may be).  

Limitations

11. This Offer is non-transferable, non-saleable and may not be exchanged for cash.
12. SCU reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time, provided that any material changes will be communicated to Business Members at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance via the SCU website. In the event of any discrepancy or inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and any account agreement with SCU, disclosures or other statements contained in any Offer-related materials, including, but not limited to, any website(s), platform(s), point of sale, television, print or online advertising and/or any instructions or interpretations of these Terms and Conditions given by any representative of SCU, these Terms and Conditions shall prevail, govern and control to the fullest extent permitted by law.
13. By participating in this Offer, Business Members agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Any attempt to manipulate or exploit the Offer, as deemed in SCU’s sole discretion, will result in disqualification.
14. The Business Member will not engage, either directly or indirectly, for themselves or through or on behalf of or in conjunction with any other person or entity, in any behaviour which could be deemed, by SCU in its sole discretion, to be offside of the intention of this Offer.
15. SCU reserves the right, at its sole discretion, without advance notice, to suspend, disqualify, limit, revoke, terminate or otherwise modify the Offer, in whole or in part, for: (i) any Business Member it finds or believes to be manipulating or otherwise abusing the integrity of the Offer or who otherwise is deemed ineligible; and (ii) any reason or if an Offer can't run as planned including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond SCU’s reasonable control which corrupt or affect the administration, security or proper conduct of this Offer.
16. By accepting this Offer, the Business Member agrees that they have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them. Any notice with respect to this Offer is deemed to be provided on the day it is posted on the SCU website.
17. SCU is not liable for any loss or damage related to this Offer, including, but not limited to, direct, indirect or consequential damages. By participating in this Offer, the Business Member agrees to irrevocably and unconditionally release, discharge and forever hold harmless SCU, its directors, officers, employees, agents, representatives, affiliates, successor and assigns (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims or liabilities (collectively, “Claims”), whether known or unknown, which the Business Member, directly or indirectly, now has or may hereafter have, arising out of or in connection with this Offer, or any associated transaction, service or product provided by SCU.
18. By participating in this Offer, the Business Member shall indemnify and hold harmless the Released Parties from and against any and all losses, liabilities, damages, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or relating to: (i) the Business Member’s breach of these Terms and Conditions or of any applicable laws; (ii) any fraud, willful misconduct, or gross negligence of the Business Member or its directors, officers, employees, agents or representatives; or (iii) any claim by a third party arising from the Business Member’s participation in the Offer, except to the extent caused by the negligence or willful misconduct of SCU. This indemnity shall survive the termination, completion or expiry of the Offer.
19. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions or the rights and obligations of Business Members, SCU or any of the other the Released Parties in connection with the Offer will be governed by and construed in accordance with the domestic laws of the Province of Manitoba and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other jurisdiction’s laws. The parties hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts located in Manitoba in any action to enforce (or otherwise relating to) these Terms and Conditions or relating to this Offer. Each Business Member agrees to waive any right they may have to: (i) a trial by jury; and (ii) commence or participate in any class action against SCU related to the Offer or these Terms and Conditions and, where applicable, the Business Member also agrees to opt out of any class proceedings against SCU.
20. The Offer is intended for promotional purposes only and does not constitute financial, tax, accounting or legal advice or an opinion related to the acquisition, suitability or use of the Account.
